A bridge is often the preferred option to replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of an artificial porcelain crown anchored on either side by natural teeth that have had crowns placed on them as well. Aesthetic bridges can be made with a ceramic material which looks just as good as natural teeth.
An adhesive bridge consists of a thin wing of metal with a false tooth attached which is bonded to the adjacent tooth to fill a gap. This has the advantage of needing minimal preparation and is an excellent option for missing front teeth if the clinical situation is favourable.
