Work will be starting soon on the exciting alterations to Kennett Road Dental Practice. You'll have to bear with us whilst the building works are in progress but, rest assured, it will be business as usual!
We will be more than doubling the size of our accommodation. We currently have two small surgeries which will increase to four with appropriately sized waiting lounges, decontamination rooms, x-ray facilities and staff office accommodation.
One of the surgeries will be upstairs on the first floor, the other three will be on the ground floor in an extension out into the back garden.
The garden and forecourt will be relandscaped with space for staff cars and cycle racks and the new entrance will be at the front of the building, straight into the reception and main waiting lounge.
Throughout the project, we will have at least one surgery fully functional. Our staff will be working slightly longer hours into the evening to make sure that we continue to fully look after all our patients.
Our builders will be managing the work extremely carefully to make sure that the parts of the building we are using are completely clean, dust free, hygienic and safe. This will be achieved by phasing the project.
We will continue to have full use of the existing surgery accommodation whilst the rear extension is built. When it's completely finished, we will then move into the extension whilst the builders refurbish the ground and first floor of the existing surgery.
The work will take several months to complete but will be well worth the wait once its done.
